Dreams

I remember dreaming  of how life was going to be

A husband, a home, and a family.

A yard for the kids, and a house in the tree.

I remember dreaming of how life was going to be.

I remember dreaming of what I had dreamt before.

My dreams as a child still hiding behind a door.

Didnt turn out to what I thought was in store.

I remember dreaming of what I had dreamt before.

Now here I sit dreaming of how my life is today.

No husband, no home, no children at play.

However our children are loved everyday.

Here I sit dreaming of how my life is today.

Reality sets in, and I realize something.

The dreams that I dreamnt didnt mean a thing.

Im happy with my life, and the song that it sings.

Reality set in, and I realized something.

Dreams are dreams for a reason they say.

What is real isnt what happens in dreams anyway.

So look at your life, did you have fun that way?

Dreams are dreams for a reason they say.

why start with a dream, start with whats real.

Take what you have, all that you feel.

Make your reality the dream you conceal.

why start with a dream, start with whats real.

About jgsgal

I am a wife, a mother, and a thinker. I love good debates, and will write about whatever comes to mind. I love poetry, and writing in general, but my lifetime passion is dancing. My real art, that I have learned over the years, is cooking. I am not a fit dancer, nor would I dance on stage anymore, but I love to dance to release. Writing helps me with that also. Cooking is a form of expression that helps with my creativity and I hope you enjoy my blog. Feel free to comment and strike up good conversation! Thanks for visiting!
